Export & import a data connection

You can import a data connection that was previously exported.

Creators of a data connection can export the connection through the More actions menu, by selecting Share > Export.

Prerequisites

• You have a ZIP file with the data connection that you want to import.

• You have all the necessary role permissions granted by an administrator in Access Manager.

  dataprep.data-connection.create

Procedure

1. On the sidebar, click Data connections.

   The Data connections pane appears.

   

2. Under New data connection, click the down arrow, and then click Import data connection.

   The Import data connection dialog appears.

   

3. Click Browse and upload the connection file in a ZIP format.

   If you happened to import this data connection previously and want to overwrite it, select the Overwrite checkbox.

4. Click Import.

   The connection has been added to the list of your data connections. You can use it to create datasets.
