In the Platform, access and management permissions are implemented through roles. The roles define which users are administrators, content consumers, designers, and so on.
To access the Platform and its particular features, you need to assign a role to each user. You can also create groups to help manage and assign roles to large sets of related user groups (for example, “Sales”).
The process of authorizing users is the following:
- (Optional) Set up custom roles, if needed. For details, see Configure a role.
- (Optional) Set up the groups. For details, see Manage groups.
- (Optional) Make users members of the groups. For details, see Manage user details.
- Assign roles to each user or group. For details, see Manage user details.
