Import glossary
Instead of creating a new glossary from scratch, you may reuse the glossary that was created for another application. You can import the previously exported file and customize it.
Important: The glossary file is exported in XML format. Changes made to a glossary file by using an external text editor may generate errors when trying to import the glossary. Thus, we strongly recommend that changes to the glossary be managed only within Designer.
Prerequisites
- The Glossary feature is enabled for the application. For details, see Application settings.
- You have a glossary file to import.
Procedure
On the application sidebar, click
Glossary.
The Glossary pane appears.
Click
Import.
In the Import Glossary dialog, select an .xml file, and then click Import.
Preview the imported glossary. To undo the changes, click any other tab.
In the pane, click
Save.
Your imported glossary is saved.
On the menu bar, go to File > Save. Enter a description of your changes, and then click Save. Then, click Close.
To make the changes available to consumers, publish the application (File > Save and Publish).
