Manage snapshots
After you create snapshots, you can open them and view their details. If needed, you can modify, delete, and share snapshots.
Prerequisites
- You created snapshots or have access to shared snapshots. For details, see Create snapshots.
Procedure

On the application sidebar, click
Snapshots.
The Snapshots pane appears.
- Expand the folders and navigate to the needed snapshot. Snapshots are marked with
.

Manage snapshots as needed:
View
Click the snapshot.
The snapshot opens in the main content area. The shows the name of the snapshot, the date and time it was created, and a link to the original report.
If you click the link, the report is run again with the live data.
View details
Point to the name of the snapshot. The tooltip shows the following information:
- Snapshot description
- Name of the original report
- Creator of the snapshot
- Date and time of the bookmark creation
- Private or shared attribute
Edit
You can edit the private snapshots.
- Click the snapshot, and then click
Rename snapshot.
- At the bottom of the Snapshots pane, modify the name and description of the snapshot as needed.
- Click Save.
Note: You can also edit a shared snapshot created by another user if you have permission to manage the content of other users. The permission is granted by an administrator in Access Manager.
Share
Shared snapshots are located under Shared Snapshots and can be viewed by other users of a Portals application.
Also, you can send the address of a shared snapshot to a recipient who can afterward access the snapshot.
To do this:

Click the snapshot, and then click
Share snapshot.

In the Snapshot URL dialog, copy the location of the snapshot, and then send it to a recipient.
Delete
You can delete private snapshots.
Click the snapshot, and then click
Delete snapshot. Click OK in the confirmation message.
Note: You can also delete a shared snapshot created by another user if you have permission to manage the content of other users. The permission is granted by an administrator in Access Manager.
Move
To move a snapshot, drag it to the new location.
If you move a shared snapshot to the My Snapshots folders, the snapshot automatically becomes private.
If you move a private snapshot to the Shared Snapshots folder, it automatically becomes shared.
